Every rug we make is hand-tufted from one of two fibres — or, at its best, both. Here’s how they differ, what each does beautifully, and why putting them together is where a rug becomes something special.
Warm, soft underfoot and remarkably hard-wearing, wool is the classic rug fibre for a reason. Its tones are quieter and more natural — the perfect calm foundation, and a genuine comfort in colder rooms.

A wool & viscose blend with a silk-like sheen that catches the light as you move around it. It holds colour brilliantly, so tones come through vivid and rich — the shimmer and depth that pure wool can’t give you.

The classic move: a wool inner with an Art Silk border — the calm centre, framed in light. But there’s no single rule. Reverse it, mix borders, or go Art Silk throughout for full lustre. Every combination is yours to choose.
